Billy gave up way too easily. Which was to say, he changed his target way too easily. Tony was pretty sure he'd been in the clear if they could go on pestering Nick, but then Nick was giving him that creepy smile and Tony, mouth open without words while he stared back, could only raise an eyebrow to him. He knew exactly what that look meant, but he purred, "What, you thinking it's about time to get your experimenting in? You gotta give me a chance to freshen up, sweetheart, I think there's gum in my hair." By the time he was done, Tony's fingers were plucking at the short hair at the back of his neck and he was looking dramatically apologetic-- at Billy, because he was the audience in this drama. It was only then that it occured to him to exclaim, "Hold up!" and turn accusingly on Nick again, pointing with the hand that had been in his hair. "I kissed you already, why couldn't you just play that and make it easy for yourself?"
