He hadn't expected Fury himself to come, and in his confusion and panic he was still sending Teddy grateful thoughts. But then Fury was dragging him out of the car, and the knife guy was back. Before Billy could say boo Nick had been stabbed and was yelling about bombs, and dragging him off again.
He didn't have time to ask questions, or to port them out, and when the explosion rang through the air it was sheer instinct that had him reaching out with his shied, surrounding himself, Fury, and Stark. The walls crumbled around them, and Billy was thrown to his feet, coughing and struggling to hold the weight of the rubble pressing in on them.
