Re: Meanwhile~ Avengers Tower. DONK DONK.
All of Tony's tension was going to break one way or another, and for a moment it looked like it might be with laughter at Barton's cartoonish exclamation. He cracked an incredulous, then wicked smile at least, brow furrowed with confusion at how ominous Barton could have possibly intended the threat to be when he tacked 'mister' on the end of it. This didn't last long. Just how ominous it was supposed to be became abundantly clear when Hawkeye launched himself at Tony, and Tony's eyebrows shot up in surprise while he could only take an uncertain step back, holding out a hand like he might catch Hawkeye's blow. He wasn't nearly prepared for a full on tackle, sending him sprawling on the hard kitchen floor and the drink in his hand jolted, released, then shattering to fling shards of glass across the room and a spatter of wine soaking into their sides and pooling on the marble tile.
Disoriented, he tried frantically just to get away, then grit his teeth against a grunt of pain while he raised his arms just to block any further blows. It was only after he had recovered from a panic that he made a grab for Barton's collar, then claw at his face and neck to try to shove him to the side and give Tony the room to get some space between them. That wasn't exactly the precise training Cap had tried to imbue him with.
Like he had sensed the pang of shame and felt Tony deserved an audience to amplify it tenfold, JARVIS' calm voice suddenly interjected: "Gentlemen, if you could spare me your attention for just a moment, Director Fury is waiting on the Avengers priority line."
