Re: Meanwhile~ Avengers Tower. DONK DONK.
Swearing and shouting didn't make Tony flinch, just raise his chin to look down his nose at Hawkeye in disbelief. He wasn't the one deserving of scorn then. It was clear enough that nobody, least of all Barton, minded that their team interaction with their benefactor was severely limited since he gave up the suit, so his obligation was not the one in question. Hawkeye moving, though, that might have been what made Tony fold an arm across his chest, the other still holding his wine at ready for when he needed to down it and get a quick refill.
"I didn't realize an alien invasion took breaks, let alone three hour ones. That makes sense, though, a lot of death and terror to get through in a day, they deserve the time to refuel," he mused, refusing to meet Barton's volume and leaning as casually as he could against the doorway with the tension in his shoulders. He arched a brow at the tossed food, staring at the trash can for a beat before glancing back up at Hawkeye.
"I'm sorry, is the burden of your responsibility unappetizing? You could always leave," Tony suggested bitterly, gesturing vaguely with his glass back the way he had come for Barton to take advantage of it. If Tony still had the Iron Man, he wouldn't be eating, either, but there was ways around that. They wouldn't have seen him out of the suit until this was over. In fact, if Barton didn't need three hour chunks of time to himself, this probably would have been over long ago.
