Tony's blank, non-reaction was probably telling enough in itself, lasting too long to be an incalculated response, not even blinking in his prolonged examination. Then again, it could simply have been telling of the perfect balance of gin and blood reaching his brain to slow Tony's reaction time to 'nowhere near giving a fuck'. Truth was, he wasn't entirely sure what Sue was asking of him, which didn't nearly compel as much thought as he chose to put into her reasoning. "Needed?" he echoed, still mostly unmoved for another breath until he appeared to have absorbed this and shifted in his seat, considering his answer.
"I mean, I get how you might feel a little taken for granted over there--" Maybe that was projection, however warranted as anyone else might view it, or maybe it was just another hint that she should forget Reed for one blissful night for the attention of someone who would only take her in any way that pleased her, but Tony was pretty sure it wasn't a 100% selfish remark, "And while I'm reasonably sure that the Avengers could benefit not only from your remarkable ability to keep unwanted attention at a safe distance, don't speak, that was a joke, but from your unique skill of keeping everyone from ripping each other's heads off, I can also assure you that your team will feel the loss within hours and may either fall into a collective listless depression, or ritualistic suicide, depending on how often you call."
