"I know that walk," Tony replied without a second's thought, moving away even as he spoke to invite them both to the sitting area for Pepper to leave their coffee and Sue to relax. "The purposeful stumble," he repeated, giving Pepper just a mischievous glance as she took just too long to slip out of the room to give Tony a warning glare for his dubious explanation, "usually not anywhere reputable." That must have been safe enough, as the door closed silently to leave Tony alone again with his guest, reasonably unmolested.
Gaze still lingering on the door a beat longer, Tony took his own seat with a familiar idle smirk that was really just Tony's neutral state. The way his day had been going, it was actually a relief. He had to find some way to thank Sue for being such a complimentary base, if insistently exothermic in her reaction. He couldn't imagine her team appreciated that hidden talent anymore.
Draped in his chair, hands dangling from each of the arm rests to just twist and twitch with his words, Tony asked, "How can I be of service, Miss Storm?" His voice was still low and warm, but while he thought he would try his best to at least return the favour and put her at ease, there wasn't much relief to his intense stare.
