Her hand was enveloped in both of his to remain there while Tony shrugged nonchalantly to her concern. "I'm always happy to make the time for a remarkable mind," he assured his most ravishing colleague in a mumble meant either to slip by without interrupting, or to sooth what caused the trepidation in her approach. After all, he didn't want her thinking he was about to spring on her for the whole visit like he was some sort of predator; that did absolutely nothing to forward the securing of an invitation to do just that.
Sue's question had him pouting, eyes rolling toward the ceiling as he contemplated how not to answer. "Desperately wanting for some kind company," he came up with, which must have put the Avengers outside of his understanding, and flashed her an appreciative smile that had only a hint of the predator she was so nervous about. "I hope I haven't gotten it by accident again, or I'm going to have an extra heavy session with my therapist. If you're lost again, I really hope Pepper--" who entered again with a tray of their coffee for Tony to gesture to her just at the right moment, finally releasing Sue's hand, "at least tipped you off and you've had enough time to come up with a more flattering excuse."
