Re: Angry Coco Bear, America Bear and Rich Nilla Bear + Carol
What, indeed. "At ease, Major," Nick commanded and even offered her a small smile. "Take one, if you want," he said of the cigar and then gestured to Tony, introducing him with obvious irritation, "This is Tony Stark, or Iron Man." He put particular emphasis on Tony's latter title and pointedly did not glance at him. Maybe it was meant to keep up Tony's cover, give Tony a viable reason for even being here since he wasn't actually Iron Man anymore. Or maybe it was an intentional little jab at him. Professional courtesy or otherwise, Nick couldn't help but add with his smile returning, "Feel free to ignore him."
Fury's smirk became a grin as he pointed to Steve, an evident note of pride in his tone as he said, "And this is Steve Rogers. Captain America." He always felt a little proud when he introduced Steve to people, mostly because it was the sort of thing that got a good reaction and because, really, he was Captain fucking America. Sometimes Nick forgot just what that name symbolized for people. It meant a little more here, in a military compound, a place that men like Nick and Steve understood and a place that certainly understood them.
"These gentlemen are Avengers," he continued, "And I am General Nick Fury, Director of S.H.I.E.L.D. and it's a pleasure to meet you Major Danvers-" he paused, had he met her before? She had the Airforce Medal of Honor so probably. "Again."
