"I don't want him knowing about this, Moira." It came out more with anger than he meant for it to. Looking down, he took a deep breath, then looked back to her. "I'm sorry. I just..." He lost what he was saying. He was thinking where this came from, but he wasn't really sure.
"I don't think he is corrupted. I don't think the trust is broken. I just think his ways are too old fashioned." He leaned forward, placing his elbows on his knees as he looked at the ground. "We have the government wanting to register us like cattle. I understand that for criminals, but not the mutants like us who want to help humanity." He was getting all his thoughts out. It felt amazing.
"We also have people who are working on a way to cure us. Right now, Charles is on his way to some summit where they will discuss forcing a cure on us. They are gonna force it on us, Moira." As he spoke that line, he felt his words barely escape through his teeth. Shaking his head rapidly, he looked at her. "And Charles is trying to talk to them about it. Gonna settle it all with a chat. Did they talk to us about curing us and registering us?"
