Yeah. He supposed it was stupid to worry about Tony the way he had. Stupid, and out of character even. If Tony really did require his help, James would not have to ask whether he was needed it not. He'd literally be dragging his friend out of the thick of it, as he had in the past. What he probably should have asked was how his friend felt without the armor, or more precisely, why he had chosen to give up the mantle again.
But then, he realized, there would hardly be any accounting for that either. It was not the first time anyone had ever stood in as Iron Man-hell, he'd done it himself-so maybe the man just needed another break. Time to collect himself, or in Tony's case... drink a lot of alcohol and catch up with all his lady friends.
"Indeed", James answered, with a little smirk at the thought of Happy in the armor again. "And steamy rendezvous? Me? I certainly wish."
Taking up his own cue he put the butt of it to the floor and closed his hands over the tip of it as he leaned against one side of the table idly, but out of the way of any potential shot.
"Let's just say there are certain matters that I feel require my attention. Matters I could not deal with readily until now."
