"I know," she mumbled. She'd done a little research on the Tony in this universe and wasn't that what this ridiculous party was all about? She wondered idly if, with anyone else, the end of that statement was and I didn't get to say goodbye. Cassie understood that one. She hadn't been able to say goodbye to Scott or to Peggy. Still, there were circumstances with Peggy that Cassie couldn't expect Tony to understand.
"Perfectly fine mom might not be a good description here," she explained with a snort and a shake of her head, "Thing is, Peggy and I didn't get along very well. I guess you think I'm selfish, 'cause I've pretty much run away. But I'd planned to do it anyway. I mean, when I turned seventeen I planned to move in with a friend. The only real problem I have with being here is not being able to tell mom I'm okay."
