Not to be discouraged by Raven's show of discomfort, Tony drank it all in, leaning close to not miss a breath with bright, curious eyes and a lopsided grin. She could have said anything, batted the question away with her practiced ease, given him a placating answer so he would just let up, but she devalued the whole exchange with her glib question. It had Tony laughing, but sure that her answer, while mostly predictable, was also mostly true. He wondered why he hadn't kissed her yet.
"Old Fashioned," the server announced at his side, making Tony straighten obediently, jerked out of that smell of black metal that clung to her. "And for the lady," he continued after Tony had accepted his drink and raised it in thanks, offering a clear cocktail in a martini glass then bowing away to be of service elsewhere.
Tony raised his eyebrows at Raven with some exasperation for the intrusion before offering a toast. Finally, relaxed back into his lean against the window frame, he said, "I think I know just the guy for you," and smirked around his glass as he sipped. Pursing his lips, he made a show of glancing around the room like he might be able to spot that guy he was looking for in the crowd, and had to pout because, obviously, he wouldn't be out there. "You'll have to remind me to introduce to you Captain America," he finished, boyish grin in place.
