She did have a point, and Tony's argument would have been weak and easily denied anyway; Raven happened to have the unique perspective of knowing very well the length of his attention span through her avatar. Tony really would argue, if that was what it took, that he didn't mean to forget all the time afterwards, he just had a lot on his plate, and, really, would he be so interesting any other way? Plus, and this he really did have to explain to Raven with his hands splayed, then one on his chest like he made a heartfelt admonishment, "I don't really mean to discard anyone, you know, no matter how fickle my reputation paints me. The way I see it, there are billions of uniquely beautiful, worthy contenders for my heart, and there's no way to find the single right one that completes me like no other can without experiencing the selection to the fullest."
He finished with expectantly raised eyebrows, a hand that had given a flourish frozen in the air awaiting how she took his most honest smile, but not quite long enough. It all dropped in a beat for Tony to swing one foot out the window, perching it on the ledge with his knee bent to fence the whole frame. He invited, "Come on, I won't let you fall," letting his hands drop to his thighs. She could think that over when she was a little closer to him.
