Spidey followed Cassie up to the table and then helped himself to a cup of tea also. With one of his spare arms, he reached up and peeled back his mask up to about his nose and then sipped at the cup slowly. “I don’t know. Doctor Connors has been difficult to get a hold of as of last week. He’s got a condition of his own to worry about. I’d say more, but I’ve sworn to secrecy for his family.” Peter scratched the side of his head for a second and looked across the window down at the city below.
When she started mentioned the possibility of his disease altering him on a molecular level he got frightened. “I’m just; I don’t know bewildered might be the right word. I don’t want to sound ungrateful Miss Mactaggert. You are really amazing. This is just a lot for me. I mean, I’ve never dealt with anything like this. I’m just a high school kid underneath this mask.” He took another long sip at his tea and wondered whether or not admitting he was in high school had been a good idea. He then moved to look back at his girlfriend, and then over at Moria. “I’m also not sure I could leave my Aunt behind. She’s in Queens. And there are bad people running around the city that know who I am that might- you know. I couldn’t risk it.”
