Saint Margaret's Academy: A supernatural High School RPG ●●● St. MARGARET'S ACADEMY
Rule #1 - Keep your fangs and claws to yourself: no snacking on any of the student body.
Rule #2 - No magic in the hallways.
Rule #3 - A full moon is no excuse for not having done your homework.
Rule #4 - It's not 'funny' to make a fairy touch iron or to tempt a dragon with gold. If they don't gore you, it will get you detention.
Just off the coast of Maine, there is a fabled and mysterious school: the illustrious St. Margaret's Academy of the Gifted. It is one of the best and most exclusive private schools in the world. Their staffing is excellent, their exchange students are polite and well-spoken and their sport teams bring home plenty of trophies. What is not particularly well-known, however, is how they select their students.
There's a reason for that. St. Margaret's only takes in students that have been touched by the supernatural. There are, of course, the usual suspects - vampires, werewolves, witches and psychics - but there are rarer creatures as well: currently, the school also boasts a djinni, a siren, a kitsune and a banshee, and there's even rumors of there being a dragon... All of them are welcome, as long as they're sentient teenagers who do not feel the need to eat human beings. At St. Margaret's, they will receive an education of the highest standard, while also learning how to integrate themselves flawlessly in the human world without giving the secret away. Between Argentina and New Zealand is a large expanse of South Pacific Ocean. Somewhere, in the midst of all that, is the tiny island nation of Ostriea. To the rest of the world, with the exception of a select few people, Ostriea is a giant question mark. Mostly uncharted, almost unknown and endlessly mysterious. Even ships keep a safe distance away. To Ostrieans, however, it's home. For whatever that's worth.
However, the feeling of "home" is severely tarnished by a tyrannical ruler called the Supra, and his crew of underlings, the Syndicate. He keeps them slightly behind the technology times; there are no cars or large boats on the island; their only mode of transportation is public transit, horseback or canoe. Anything to keep them trapped on the island. Most people are forced to live in squalor while those who are in good with the Supra live in the lap of luxury.
But that's not even the worst of it.
For a century now, he's been injecting any newborns born at hospitals with a drug that bestows them with superpowers, under the terms of a deal he made with American scientists. It's turned Ostriea into something of a social and scientific experiment, and the Supra is reaping the benefits.
Little does he realize that a revolution is brewing just under the surface.
