In a nutshell Mind Blast is a place where you can join several different RPGs at once. One application will give you access to all the Games hosted at Mind Blast, and any future Games that are added. Mind Blast is designed to be fun, and light weight yet also keeping a high level of writing and character development. Why join us? A friendly OOC community, great RP, several different types of Games in one place and members can add new Games. We also only accept original characters in all our Games, even those based on fandoms. Our Current GamesCelestial IllusionsAn Anita Blake style RPG set in the city of Las Vegas. The Master of the City went mad, and as a result an execution was sanctioned. There is now a new Master of the City, however, the switch over of power is not going smoothly though and the city's preternatural community is splitting. Those loyal to the old Master believe that there was foul play and are trying to prove that the new Master, an old friend of the former Master is responsible.

Two days ago this was an empty lot, an abandoned field near the edge of town. Then the trucks rolled in, big semis huffing clouds of noxious fumes, and able-bodied men jumped out to set stakes in the ground, run string to mark off areas. The townspeople whispered excitedly as the posters and flyers arrived around town, posted on telephone poles and bulletin boards, stacks of them on the counters in shops.
The Dark Carnival was in town.
The tents aren't the brilliant red and white stripes of the carnivals of yesteryear; these are black and gray, burgundy and purple, dark jewel tones lit from within by lanterns and candles and black-lights. Torches burn at the entrance and a sign warns all who enter that they are lost. Here the carnies walk among the crowd dressed in leather jackets embroidered like a skeleton's infrastructure, weaving expertly between the marks and disappearing into the crowd so effortlessly you'd swear you'd seen a ghost. Barkers call to passersby, luring them in for the sights and sounds. Canvas banners ripple in the wind, which carries with it the scent of food cooking, the hot smell of machinery and oil.
There are cries of laughter and delighted squeals coming from the midway, the freak tent, the handful of thrill rides. People walk out of the psychic's tent looking a little uneasy, laughing it off as hokum even as their skin crawls. And some of those shrieks from the haunted house... well, they sound a little too sincere, don't they?
Of course, not all who enter will leave when the night is over.
This is the Dark Carnival.
OOC: This is a thread/AIM-log based game which is set in modern times. It is a traveling carnival which is run by Arkady Von Wulf, a vampire who seeks to create a haven for supernatural beings and those who respect them, a place to offer them sanctuary and solidarity against the outside world that would persecute and condemn them. The carnival is populated by creatures from all mythologies around the world, and all abide by a simple set of rules. The game is highly active and has a large, friendly population of talented, creative writers. We do gamewide challenges and plot twists frequently to keep things interesting and focus on well-written, interesting scenes on life in the carnival. All characters are original, no fandoms or Mary Sues/Gary Stus, and all PBs are welcome as long as they're human/real-world based. We encourage diversity among our characters and are more than happy to work with you to come up with fun concepts! |

A Harry Potter RPG
Post the Second Wizarding War, many are content to go forward with their lives. Some aren’t however. Augustus Rookwood is one of those not happy in this world and the former death eater begins to make plans to make his own world, his ideal world.
Taping into dark and forbidden magic that will bend both dimension and time, Rookwood begins collecting the citizens for this new world. Wizard and witches of his choosing who are not merely from the era he comes from, but others-both ancient and into distant future. Whether these wizard and witches want to live in this world isn’t his concern.
There are so many questions though. Where is this place? What day is it? What country are they in? Why are there others that they don’t know or recognize but who know intimate details about their lives? This world is full of mysteries about the village and... experiments keep appearing out of nowhere.
You are at the mercy of the council.
