"A banana will start. Toast will follow. Too much will do harm." Molly looked at Savannah knowingly. "We share space, Savannah. Seeing was inevitable. Perceiving took too long, but you keep your secrets well. Sean would see if he weren't so full of fear and not taking care of his own person. That will stop as well. We all have to band together as a family and take care one for the other. Lisa and Chelsea as well. Even if you dislike a sister, the family remains. She gave apology for whatever offends, but explained nothing."
The drinks arrived and Molly took her pill, her sharp, green eyes watching Savannah.
Molly had her own secrets. Like she knew Savannah had lost a sister and brother, but the darkness of the brain swallowed their names up. Memory was gone for now. There was another Savannah lost, but the face was an indistinct flash, and all she had for a name was letters that jumbled. She couldn't share this, as Savannah needed no more hurt. Molly knew the memories had been there and she hated her tricksy brain sometimes.
"Promise me, Savannah, promise me you will not fade from me by choice. I can be very Irish when needed. Stubborn and temper and all."
