Lovely, the robot head talked. Well, at least it meant she was damned good at what she did. "And if those fail like our cellulars did?" he pointed out. "We need a low tech solution. Actually, we've already got one. We can use the security mirrors to monitor the hallways. Even move the ones from the floors we'll not be monitoring to make it easier."
He took a drink of his coffee. "And shut down all the elevators but the two closest to the Circean Delight. If it weren't for the girl in the wheelchair and the blind lady, I'd say shut them all down. But they'll need them to get to where there's readily available food."
Cath looked over at Sean. "Those two were Res' ideas, by the by." Then he continued. "We need to get everyone consolidated to one or two floors. No bloody arguments. We don't have the manpower or the resources to look after people spread out over a nine story vessel. Not with only nine security volunteers, likely only two or three of which besides you and me have any law enforcement or military training or experience."
And were mostly girls. That chafed more than he wanted to admit.
