Megan heard Emily sit down, and even though she wasn't telling her what to do stretching-wise, she had a pretty good idea what to do by herself. She stretched out both legs, remembering what they'd had her do in PE growing up, listening to the "general safety" lecture.
"Trust me, I went through a lot of this three years ago," she said, stretching herself out between her feet. "It's one of the first lectures they give you at 'survivor support' meetings." She sighed. "I know they go for the weakest in the herd. Hell, that's part of why I got Niles." She sighed. Part of her didn't want to re-visit that but Emily was a lot easier to talk to than the oversized black woman who had first "counseled" her after her incident.
