Zoe's parents had taught her similar stuff. Mostly along the lines of the body being a temple that shouldn't be violated with impurities. But when she'd started exploring Taoism and Zen principles, that all sort of got blown out of the water. That said, she didn't indulge in those vices too much. She kept herself busy.
"Yeah," she agreed about the smell. "Most of my friends smoked clove cigarettes and stuff. Which are way worse for your lungs but smell way better." She shrugged. "I can put it out if you want."
Talking to someone might work just as well for calming her frazzled nerves. "This is just getting nuts, isn''t it?"
