Perusing the grammar books had been fascinating at first, a trip down the memory lane of grade school as she tried completing the exercises to see how much about grammar she really knew. She kept her opinion aloof, not really know how much a 24 year old was supposed to retain of 7th grade knowledge, but she really didn't think she fared very well.
Just as reading the book was becoming boring and perhaps slightly depressing, Miguel found her and she smiled up at him brightly. He was such a pleasant person, Lottie couldn't help but be happy when she was around him.
"Bien, y tu?" she asked, not really aware that he was 15 minutes late. Not that she would have necessarily cared, either. "Where's Jack?" she asked again, looking around for him. "He didn't bail, did he?" she frowned at the prospect.
