"Oh, no," Savannah said with a giggle. "I just didn't want to take yours and stuff." She accepted the water bottle graciously and took a timid sip of it. It was still cool, she discovered, much to her delight, and she pressed the bottle gently against her cheek. It felt wonderful against her warm skin.
The mention of having something to eat made her sit up a little straighter, and, although she laughed as she shook her head, the laugh was not echoed in her eyes. "Oh, definitely not!" she disagreed. "I had a huge lunch, and I'm still just totally full."
