Living on the edge Who: Savannah and Erik Where: Helios Deck When: Late afternoon
To say that CJ's confirmed disappearance was a surprised would be a lie. Savannah had been suspecting he had vanished the previous day -- but it still hurt. She had been depending on CJ to help her through this, had been hoping he would be her prince again, to come and rescue her...
CJ, of course, knew none of this. She hadn't had a chance to tell him, not really.
The fact she had awakened bruise and cut-free did little to comfort the wounds of her heart, of losing her entire family and now CJ... He was the one person left on this stupid boat she could turn to, the one person who could make it go away...
They were all gone.
Savannah was through with that line of thinking, though. She was through being at the mercy of her emotions, of acting like the world was going to end just because a few lousy people disappeared. She didn't need them, she decided -- but that was easier to do during the daylight hours.
Yet, she was a little spacey. Healed wounds or no, she couldn't seem to focus her mind on anything for too long. It had, in fact, taken her about half an hour to realize that Res's jibe about Marilyn Monroe was probably in reference to her. And by that time, there was nothing to be done about it. She had already replied and left her computer.
She had a suspicion she knew what this was. She hadn't exactly been losing weight the healthy way, and she had been through this before. She knew what was causing the forgetfulness -- but she'd rather die than admit it. And, if left to herself, she probably would...
Nevermind. Today was the first day she could really get out and use the jogging track. She was just on her way back from a brief jog, once around the track. She didn't feel well... And, as she made her way from the jogging track back to her room, she suddenly felt herself become...detached. It was like the commercial where people's heads turned into balloons and drifted off...
Although her head was firmly attached, yet, she stumbled and pitched as a faint overtook her senses.
