The way she spoke, so gushing about her cat and why she had brought it along with her to the Place of Books -- shirt and shoes required, no pets allowed -- was downright disturbing on multiple levels and would be for anyone in Gor's social caste. They were a small but solid group, the goths, and people with cheerful, fluctuating voices usually scared them.
In Gor's case, the fact that she was also a girl made the situation even less appealing.
