Sean smiled at Leto, thankful for her suggestion. "That's exactly why we're here. To pitch ideas and poke holes in them, find solutions others don't see. If you can get key passes from your friend that would be excellent."
"There have been developments overnight, and we'll get to them once everyone is here. I've asked all of you to meet here because, so far, you're the one's holding together and apparently thinking clearly and logically. You're dealing with this crap and you're all smart. We need some cool heads prevailing here, before we end up with people storming the bridge. Since no one has heard anything at all from the senior staff we should proceed as if we're on our own." Sean looked from face to face. "If you don't think you can step up here, or want no part of this, no one will blame you if you leave. All I ask is that, if you leave, you not mention this meeting until we make some public announcements later today. The people on this ship need to be informed of what's going on in a way least likely to create absolute chaos."
"You're all smart enough to know that if you stay here and form a group with plans of action, you're going to be looked at in one of two ways, a power-monger looking to take over, or someone 'in charge', with people looking to you for help and to be told what to do with all that implies."
He'd asked these people here, he had to make certain they knew what the risks were.
