"People seem to think so." Azi said, smirking a touch when she said his name fit. It did, as far as he was concerned. He enjoyed his name. He liked the cultural significance, and it was different. It was also memorable, which helped occasionally.
"Alright, let me try and put this in terms you might be able to grasp..." he said, thinking it over as he shifted, pushing himself up to sit on the railing, even if he was pretty sure if a staff member caught him he'd get bitched at a lot. "Okay. You've seen vampire movies, I'm sure. You know about the concept of crosses repelling them." he said. "Wardings are like older religions and culture's cross to ward off....whatever. it's just a different symbol than a cross. It's items, or words or runes, all designed and put together to protect someone against something."
At her last comment, Azi had to smirk at her. "Don't you know all ships are haunted?"
