Jeb was off exercising the giant beast of a dog, which really, Az loved Nikko, she did. That still did not change the fact that the beast weighed a good deal more than she did, and at least the same as her boyfriend did. Great Dane's were just...huge.
"Retail therapy, I think, that's what's in order," she replied to the salesgirl's question. Still, despite the fact that things were insane, people were disappearing, and her boyfriend was afraid that she was going to disappear next (a fear that she harbored secretly in his case as well), a bit of normalcy in the form of shopping seemed perfect.
It was the same with her outfit down to her pale pink pumps, striving for something normal and easy to control among everything that she could not. Az had not risen up the ranks as she had without being able to compartmentalize at least a tiny bit.
