It was a lot to take in. Especially first thing upon waking, and before she had managed to take in anything made of caffeinated consciousness.
There was a bit of a minor struggle with the sheet that was tangled around her legs and barely pulled up over her chest, as she pulled herself into a half leaning, half sitting position. One hand flat to the soft mattress, the other to the top of her breasts, holding the silk sheet to her body. It was not about the actual covering of her naked body, she was as comfortable nude as clothed. Instead, her hand holding the sheet somewhat around her was something to do. Highly tactile, the slick fabric grounded her by sensation.
"I will in a minute," Az answered distractedly, the pieces of the situation still needing to be pulled together completely. She blinked once, then twice, pursing her lips and unpursing them. For a moment her lips parted as she pressed her tongue to the bottom of her top teeth. A glance back over at the dog, who was sitting beside the door as if expecting to be let out immediately now that both his packleader and his mate were awake.
Things slid into place, barely. "I never believed in the stories of the Bermuda Triangle," the almost off topic thought crossed her mind and rolled off her tongue without any decision on her part.
Something she had not seen in Jeb's expression before caught her attention, "What is it?" And, after the thought popped into existence, "There isn't something more, is there?" She was not sure she could handle another new and frightening development, not right then.
