He wish he'd slept in. But Nikko hadn't let him. With good cause, really. He imagine the unneeded splint was uncomfy on his now mended leg.
And well, at least Az was getting the good news first. "It's not broken anymore," he assured her as he gently lead Nikko off the bed by his collar. "Later, boy." He'd take him out for a nice long run about the deck later.
Jean had put on some pants, but that was it. He flopped back down on the bed and threw his arm over his eyes. It was entirely too cheerily sunny and bright to be delivering such news.
