Oh yeah, she was drunk. Which was quite an accomplishment, considering the amounts of alcohol it took to get her this drunk. At least he wasn't letting her go. That was nice of him.
And it could have been worse. As young as some of them were on this ship, he'd be hearing how much their grandparents loved his music. Then he had a reason to wince.
Maddie snorted. "Not in my room, darlin'," she assured him. "The Forge of Hephasteus. I got everything but the anvil and the lighting bolts in my room. Which, you know, would be actually be useful about now. But yeah- I spent the storm hiding in my bathroom after being pummeled by statues. At least the poker and hammer stayed bolted to the wall. That could have been a lot worse."
She pushed her hair out of her eyes with one hand. "I ought walk it off," she admitted. "I really oughta eat something before I try findin' that wisdom again. Fucking crazy..."
