Micah's eyes moved to the new person in the room and he tipped his chin upward in the universal guy greeting. Good, a complete stranger. That actually made Micah feel a million times better about being in the same room with Leto and Alex. Never mind the patient, because he definitely didn't count. Maybe having this other new guy in the room would be like having a buffer zone. Thank you God for probably-Jack, he thought.
Hector asked whether he was being put under. While he was pretty sure it was general anesthesia and not local that they'd have to use, he wasn't a hundred percent and he said nothing, instead looking over at Leto and scratching the back of his head absently. He'd keep his mouth shut now that he was in the room with Alex unless he was spoken directly to and actually had to answer. Hopefully that'd minimize the fallout. Leto could do the talking. He was just here to help; not to get in the way or step on toes.
