Gor sighed, easily intimidated by even Slav. Of his brothers, he was closer to Slav than to the other two -- they were the geniuses of the family. And Slav didn't fool Gor for a second: Gor saw a lot of himself in his older brother. Slav had escaped the social problems which plagued the youngest, but, otherwise...

"It's nothing," Gor repeated, as he had been doing all along. "It's my fault for not replying to his message." His smile was wry. This was another typical Gor trick: it was his fault the bully stole his lunch and his fault they singled him out to push around on the playground. "I was trying to get out of that stupid dinner." He hadn't thought Nik would track him down like that. It was so...uncool, and he had always thought Nik was the epitome of cool.
