Launching Lunch
Who: Molly, Sean, Emily and Gregory When: Sometime around one oclock. Could be noon, could be two. Best guess. Where: Circean Delight
Molly had borrowed a nice person's phone to call Sean and remind him of their lunch date. He had already been on his way. He sounded off on the phone. Worried. That made her worried. He met her outside the Circean Delight and looked annoyed. "I told you not to go anywhere without someone with you. Damnit, Mol, this is serious. We should get your friends and talk about a buddy system for all of you."
Molly felt herself start to pout. Sean was rarely ever short with her, and it stung. "Okay. Will explanations be forthcoming? You've found your buried treasure and found a curse on it, haven't you?"
Sean took a moment to decipher her words. "Yeah. Pretty much on the nose, kiddo."
Molly looked around, trying to see any sign of Emily and the Tree. Perhaps the time was wrong. A world without artificcial control of chronology was difficult. "Have you seen Sydney? I'm concerned for Savannah. Every tme I try her room there is no answer. "
Molly noted Sean wince. "Molly, her brother and sister were among the missing." He was holding something else back as Molly felt a sinking something settle into her belly. She was no longer hungry. She hadn't known. She hadn't found Sam. Savannah had lost kin and was alone, maybe.
"After we eat I have to locate her." Molly didn't ask, but her eyes pleaded with Sean to help. He looked distinctly uncomfortable. Why? He always helped people. "Sean... is Savannah missing too?" Her voice rose in pitch at the last word.
"I don't know, swee'pea. I'll help you look. I want you with me the rest of the afternoon." Sean looked sad, and Molly felt tears threaten.
