I'm the goddamned bat, man.
Who: Pyrrhus and Juhi
When: Sundown, when all the freaks come out, of course.
Where: Main Deck, exterior, then Cult of Dionysus.
Pyrrhus had had an interesting day, if a bit frustrating. The day before, he'd been tracking, purely for fun of course, a particularly annoyed-looking nurse who looked like she needed a good messing with. He'd even gotten up early this morning, hoping to catch her by surprise when she woke and headed to work. But she'd never come out of her room. At first he thought it was possible she was just sick and didn't come out. He'd eventually gotten bored with waiting and moved on. But as the day progressed, he kept overhearing things. Kinda disturbing things, really. That was the advantage of keeping to the shadows, people tended to say more when they didn't think anyone was listening.
He needed to take some time to think about what he'd heard exactly, process it. People were missing. A lot of people. More than just the "departed dozen" that had been mentioned at the New Years' meeting. Passengers and crew alike, no one seemed safe. And no one seemed to have any clue where they were. Admittedly, these clouds weren't helping, but compasses and watches weren't working. He finally found the perfect place to mediate, the one place he was pretty sure no one would bother him. He was dangling from the railing by his boots, which he'd braced between the crossbars, his head pointing straight down, and his arms crossed across his chest, looking for all the world like a giant bat. He knew something would come to him. He just had no idea what.
