She shrugged. "Unless I come back in my next life as something that can't talk," she pointed out wryly. "Then you're good anyway." She laughed at his grumbling. "I promise, no more spontaneous duets. I just didn't want to yell at you or something stupid like that."
And spontaneous singing wasn't stupid? Yeah, yeah, it worked.
He was talking, that's all that mattered. Zoe was quiet, just letting him get it out. He needed to get it out, she could tell.
