That was a scary, but true, thought. One he had a hard time admitting to; it still didn't make it any less true. Lynne knew the good, she definitely knew the bad, and the in between too. Or at least she did from years ago. Matt wondered if he had changed all that much, if there were things now that Lynne didn't know about him. But he'd never been good at assessing anyone all that thoroughly, not even himself.
"Yeah, I guess." He shifted uncomfortably in his chair, looking around as if that movement would somehow tell him how much longer the waitress was gonna be with the food. Matt was getting a little hungry now. "How about you? Do I know you that well?" Matt knew he shouldn't play, but it was stronger than him.
