A healthy appetite was a good thing. Zoe was all too content to feed him as much of what she'd made as he wanted.
Gods, he was being nice again. He had absolutely no idea how utterly hot he was when he was being nice. And modest. But clearly, no one was allowed to take care of him. That wasn't going to fly.
"Yeah, people do have to eat," she agreed picking up a spring roll and offering it to him. She'd only had pork and veggies, and a really small deep fryer, so she'd only made three different kinds of dim sum. Oh well, he seemed to like it.
Zoe's teeth went for the snakebite as he started messing with his hair. This was so totally unfair. Here he was being sweet and nice and she knew if she touched him at all, it'd completely break it.
Patience, calm. All things came in time. The path had been set, all she had to do was walk it. Although having him standing there in all his muscly and mussed hair and eating out of her hand was so making it hard for her think about anything.
She laughed. "I could say that I can't teach you some of my family recipe because of that, but it's totally not true," she admitted. "There's no secret ingredients or anything. Just experience and a lot of fuss to make it seem special. Which is basically why it's so good. People come in expecting it to be fantastic, and so it is."
Zoe's brows went up. She wanted to protest he didn't have to trade anything. She liked cooking and well now, she wanted to do nice things for him just because he seemed to be letting her. And she doubted he let people do things for him willingly. But she didn't protest, because she wanted to know what he was offering.
