"Of course you can call me Syd," she smiled. Most of her friends and family called her Syd. Aside from Sean, Brodie was the only person she'd really had a long conversation with even if she might not remember half of it later on. It felt nice to converse with someone. Well, she'd sort of had a conversation with Miguel as well. She smiled just thinking about Miguel. He was so sweet.
"Sure, Kafka and After Dark. Got it," she said, getting back to her feet this time without the room tilting at all. Maybe the pain meds were beginning to filter from her system just a touch. There was a slight stitch of discomfort in her side but nothing that wasn't easily ignored.
She easily located the books he wanted. Even in her high state of mind, she was well familiar with the organization of books on library shelves. It was familiar and comfortable to her. Syd sat the books down beside Brodie and knelt down next to him. "Do you want some help back to your room?" she offered, her own books still forgotten on the floor somewhere.
