Boy, this woman was so far gone. It was funny, really, though Brodie wasn't laughing at her so much as he was at the whole situation. Hers, and his. Here they were, sitting on the floor of a library, Sydney high as a kite perhaps for the first time ever, and Brodie feeling a little better than before, but not a whole lot.
"Ah, sci-fi." Brodie recognized the name, but as much a fan of Star Wars as he was, he couldn't say he was that much into the whole thing in literature. Of course he'd read the Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy, but was that really sci-fi all that much? Maybe. It didn't really matter because the conversation didn't seem to be steering the way of exchanging information about their taste in literature. "I have no idea either. I wasn't even at the meetings..." He rolled his eyes. Damn ribs.
"I suppose we're headed for land, we better be!" Brodie needed to collect his paycheck and buy a new drumset as soon as possible. Though on a more thorough analysis, he wasn't really all that sure that he wanted to go home. Things had a way to become magical in this ship, in a sort of Alternative Universe way. Then again there was the problem of supplies running out if they stayed there for a lot longer. They definitely couldn't stay there forever.
