Sydney smiled slightly, happy to hear that he could talk and breathe at the same time now. She sat down on the floor next to Brodie with her back against the sofa, her eyes wandering lazily over the shelves of books. "I'm really sorry I hurt you." Her green eyes moved back to meet his gaze. "Want me to piggyback you back to your room?" She laughed at the mental picture she got of that. He wasn't really a big guy. She might be able to...nah, probably not.
Syd ran her fingers through her hair, brushing it back from her face. "I'm not usually...I'm really...normal," she tried to explain. Boringly so actually but he didn't need to know that much detail, did he? Besides, he didn't even ask if she was a wacko under normal circumstances.
