Brodie raised one eyebrow at Sydney upon her loud laugh, but didn't hold it against her. She was probably not laughing at him, and she'd done well in telling him she wasn't exactly sober from the beginning. Brodie knew the feeling and was able to cut her some slack.
Afraid that she'd fall back down after getting up way too fast for being under the influence, Brodie squinted, almost positive she'd end up falling on him. But Sydney didn't, she held her own, and Brodie sighed in relief.
"Yeah, you've said that. Thanks." He said before she dashed off to find water. Maybe she thought he hadn't heard her the first time...Or maybe she's high on pills, stupid! he thought. Looking around, Brodie realized there was absolutely nobody else there at all. Then again, who really went to a library at close to 9pm on a cruise ship? Well, apparently, he did. And a woman high on pills.
