Smirking slightly, Lynne raised her eyebrows at him again. "On the farm, huh? Do I look the type?" she asked. "I'm from New York," she added to answer his question. "And no, if you're asking if I've got sisters or anything. Just a little brother." Maybe he wasn't asking that and it was just a saying. Oh well, if it was, he'd just gained a little more knowledge about her life than he probably cared to know. A mental shrug ended that line of thought for her though.
She noticed that he hadn't had a response to her question about 'after,' although she didn't mention it. In spite of herself, she wondered if maybe it wasn't really cheating since he was famous. If that was what he meant. Noah wouldn't know the difference, so long as she didn't say; she doubted Kaz was gonna shout it from the rooftops. Rock stars were like CJ, she thought. If that was what he'd meant, then she'd be a notch in the bedpost and nothing more.
Dude, why am I even considering all that...? she wondered. For all she knew, Kaz could be talking about exclusive after parties or something and anyway, there was sort of an understood relationship with Noah that she had going. A good thing was a good thing and she'd be a female Matthew if she willingly and intentionally did something to jeopardize it. Let it go, Lynne. That's probably not even what he meant. Anyway, he's like old enough to be your dad, she thought as she finished her drink and looked up just in time to give a grateful smile to the waitress who had returned to drop off more drinks.
"What about you? Where are you from? My realm of knowledge ends with the music, I'm sorry to admit. I always thought it was kind of creepy to know too much about a celebrity. Too stalkery, you know?" she laughed.
