Jamie's wince was quite self-explanatory, so Brodie gave him an apologetic look. Oh they were two poor sods whose tools of the trade had turned on. What a dramatic way of looking at it...
Brodie might have been mimicking his own heartbeat with his fingers, but if he had been, he didn't know it. Especially since his heart was, now, beating quite ferociously like some tribal march.
So he shouldn't be so easily won over by flattery, and he wasn't, but coming from Jamie it very nearly meant the world. Brodie grinned happily when Jamie said he always rocked, wondering if he knew exactly how great that was to hear coming from him.
Yeah, no, Brodie would think this was killing him if it didn't feel so bloody nice. He looked up at Jamie, whose face seemed to be, yet again, a little too close for Brodie's brain to function properly - and it wasn't the only thing making that difficult. "Why don't you suggest something?" He suggested in turn, blinking at couple of times.
