Honestly, Jamie was still testing the waters, hoping for interest. Every time Brodie froze, he got kind of nervous until he noticed the little smirk and found himself smiling. It didn't really matter to him about the events after the first kiss. This was... a new day. Or afternoon anyway. And likely they were headed off into the middle of the ocean to God knew what. Might as well make the most of it.
He was not going to ever say that out loud.
Jamie frowned at the mention of Brodie's ribs hurting him and automatically reached out as if touch could take the pain away but he managed to stop his fingers just millimeters from actually touching the wounded area. His fingers curled as he thought against it and he half-smiled though it was kind of sad.
He followed over to the couch like a good puppy and winced a little when he watched Brodie take more painkillers. He honestly hoped he wasn't just... eating the damned things. He didn't want to see the Aussie get addicted. In fact, Jamie wasn't taking them as often as he'd been told. He was holding off until the pain was absolutely unbearable then spending the few minutes of waiting for active pain killing in utter agony. Ah well.
"So... They're not feeling any better at all? Okay, way too soon. But..." he closed his mouth and carefully sat down on the couch with lips pressed together to keep him from saying something stupid.
