Ella's intuition kicked in when he glanced at the door with a frown. There was something there. She wasn't going to ask or pry - she was just observant. "I brought a portable keyboard and my laptop and thankfully it was put up when the ship decided to have a fit. They weren't damaged or anything, which I'm entirely grateful for. I don't know if I could have survived the rest of the trip without them."
When Jamie lifted his shirt up and she saw the stitches, she grimaced. "Ouch. That looks painful." She glanced up at Jamie with a sympathetic smile. "Good thing nothing vital was hit."
She pulled up her own sweatshirt, showing off her flat black and blue torso. "Not as bad as yours, but my own war wounds, I suppose," she said self-consciously. She lowered her sweatshirt back down and kept a hand over her sore ribs.
