Chelsea propped herself up on her elbows, realizing she'd left her water bottle with her chair. "No, not anymore," she sighed. "I got all the way up to the Busch series, though. And then in my first race..." She looked down at her legs, then back to Ella. "I had a little accident. Well, not so little, really." She realized that her foot had gotten caught on the leg of the weight machine. She pulled herself up a bit more, then put her hands under her leg and lifted the foot away and letting it drop to the ground.
"But anyways, I'm a mechanic now, which at least keeps me in the business a little." She smiled, using the act of wiping her brow with a towel to hide the fact that she was also wiping her tears.
"An advice columnist, huh?" Chelsea said, trying to change the subject. "That's pretty cool. Any advice for someone who just found out their ex-boyfriend was screwing around behind their back? With another guy?" She laughed, trying to diffuse some of the tension.
