"Yeah, here's the other one." Emily reached into the bag and trapped her shoe between her thumb and the cast, and then dropped the shoe into her sling on top of her left arm. The sling actually made a pretty good bag for holding things, though she'd rather just have full use of her hands. Then she added the shoe Jamie had found to the sling and dropped the blue shoe he had found into the bag with the other one. Maybe that would make it easier for some other woman if she came looking for her shoes.
There was clearly no guitar in this garbage bag, so Emily abandoned it and moved on to the next one. "Well, I guess if your knee is screwed up, you can't really fall back on football. Is there something else you want to do? If not, I think you should stick with the music. You've got an opportunity for stardom that most people will never have. And even if you don't consider yourself a band, you and Muse's other 'lackeys' will still meet lots of important people in the music industry, and you can establish a network of connections and contacts that could lead to other opportunities."
