Eve was nodding and shaking her head as if poor Logan's ordeal was very serious business. "I know, I know." She said, but she was still a little bit amused at the whole thing.
Eve had never had one of those moments. Those moments in which someone - usually a guy - says something, however trivial and seemingly normal, and one feels like melting. Literally, all warm and fuzzy, so much so it feels like melting. Eve was feeling like that, now, and her bright smile reflected just that. "Awww! Thank you, you too!" So true. And he probably didn't even mean it like the big deal she was making it out to be, which only made her a little angry at herself for being so quick to 'melt'. This guy was doing things to her that guys didn't usually do; and he was also doing things that guys usually did. He was this complete sort of 'package', though she hated to call him that.
Smiling sweetly, she changed her position - instead of sitting with her knees bent and legs crossed on top of each other, she got on her knees and sat back on her own feet. Then, slowly, she crawled closer to Jack, as she said "Figure it out." at the same time. Her left hand cupped his jaw softly and she kissed him, longer than he had just kissed her, but with the same softness.
When she was done, she sat back down peacefully, and picked her cards up again, examining them as if she'd never seen them before - even putting them upright between herself and Jack. Still a King and a Three.
