When Katrina hit people abandoned one another, left folks in nursing homes, looted, it was an every man for himself thing. By 9/11, the normal lump lodged in his throat when he thought of that day, people ran TO the danger to help others. Digging through rubble with bare hands, supporting strangers, showing the best of humanity.
"The amazing thing is that according to those I talked to there were no fatalities so far." Sean took a drink of his own brew. "The buzz is normal. The crash will come eventually. Hopefully not in the middle of eating soup. Embarrassing to survive a disaster only to drown in cream of chicken."
