That was exactly why Jean was so concerned. Great Dane's had a horrible problem with their bones. It was from their great size. If it healed wrong, it could rebreak anytime Nikko got too boisterous. Which happened a lot.
Jean probably thought about having kids more than Az did. He was perfectly content to settle down with her for the rest of his days. Which made him more inclined not to rush her. But yes, the idea of having children with her had crossed his mind more than once. And no, they wouldn't be raised the way she'd been. Never. He'd sooner gut himself than be as distant as her father had been with their kids.
And yes, he'd indulged in a few flights of fancy about maybe having a little girl who was just like her beautiful, wild mum. He'd be utterly doomed if he got that lucky, but it was an entirely pleasant doom he'd be happy to be condemned to.
He loved her move for forgiving him for his weakness over blood. Hell, not even forgiving him for it. She just accepted it and didn't hold it against him. It was just another reason he adored her.
Nikko taken care of, he'd totally forgotten about the shard of glass in his foot. Yes, he knew it had to come out, it'd get infected. He looked away, swallowing hard. "Please," he agreed, gritting his teeth and gripping the arm of the settee. He could handle the pain all right, so long as he didn't have to look at the blood.
